One of the ads on MySpace was for PC WORLD (other shops also available)
The add was for PC discs!!
Made me think a little
I voted for Labour the last 2 or 3 elections
I put my faith and trust in them,
But they kinda let me down a little with the computer discs…thing.
Not that they alone can not look after discs ohhhh no
3 discs = 25 million names of people claiming child benefit = missing
1 disc = Norwich union 15,000 names = missing
1 disc = dvla Northern Ireland drivers info = missing
1 hardrive = dvla 3 million learner driver names and info, missing in Iowa!!
All the above in the last 3 weeks
Is it too much to send a courier, and not just drop it in the post…??
We put our trust in these people, our lives, info etc; surely security should mean a bit more??!!
On a quirckier note the BBC reported this morning that a rat the size of a cat had been found in the jungle….
It has a long tail, long rodent teeth, and “ratty” fur….
Yep that’ll be a rat then!!!

music revolution
Here’s something I meant to blog a long time ago.
Maybe I was waiting for it to be done by someone else,
Maybe it WAS done by someone else??
There is a revolution going on ..
A Sheffield music revolution.
This may seem strange to some, some may have missed it..
I was always an indie ( true indie, Madchester kid at heart, not this awful pap these days )
The true Sheffield music success started with Joe Cocker, and of course, Tony Christie..
We make our way, picking through Black Lace “AGADOO” … Human League, and Def Leppard, kinda wilderness years…
Upto the early 90’s Pulp…. Babybird… Longpigs… Various vegetables.
But now Sheffield is back on the map..!!

Liverpool, and Manchester have always had strong music roots, but now is the time to recognise a city that deserves music recognition !

Boxing day
Driving home for Christmas.

Or he will be in a couple of weeks when I go home
It’s only 200 miles, 4/5 hours in the car with a stop.
This year we take Darcypops to see the extended family, and a dress maker, as Darcy is flower girl, at my sister’s wedding next August.
Darcy = needs food = needs changing = more car stops.
I had hoped to make it home in time for boxing day, but it maybe later, the reason for boxing day is the fact we get to see the Sword dancing, then go to the pub. ( Yes we English are strange, and have odd traditions) but it is the traditions that make us who we are.!!

caffeine in the milk bottles
We changed Darcy’s cot last weekend.
We had used the pram cot
But she is above average height (or length)
So she now fills the pram cot…
Time for a cot with proper bars !!
She has found that she can run her hand up and down the bars, like a prisoner with a cup !
Ok it takes time to get used to the cot, I GET THAT !
But come on!!
4 days now and going to sleep at almost 1 am !! give us a break please!!
But it is hard when you lie in your bed next to the cot, shut your eyes ( cos she really thinks it is cool to copy daddy and go to sleep yeah !!!??? ) HAHAHAHAAHhahahahaaa NO !!
And you try and peek to see if she is asleep, and she has rolled onto her side holding onto the bars!! And smiles at you !!! AAARRRGGGHH
You must be putting caffeine in the milk bottles !!

It is great that you are so happy
But please go to sleep !! haha
On a lighter note,,, “Fattys gonna get yer” come on Ricky “Hitman” Hatton on Sunday !!

5 days!!!!
We got our dial up bill at home, O.U.C.H!!
We have agreed to limit the time on line!
And Tuesday night OH MY GOD…
2 days before the car was due to be serviced and MOT’d… yep it breaks down!!
Call the RAC, who thankfully patched me up and got me home,
The heater pipe had sheared off, I had no water, or coolant, and cos my car is the basic model, it has no temperature gauge… NO TEMPERATURE GAUGE, a car with no gauge is is is like ere r er a bike!!!!
If I had had the gauge I would have pulled over!!
£550, inc service parts, 2 new tyres, new heater system blah blah blah blah, sparks, filters blah blah etc etc etc
To top that off I got home and had to go to bed with the mother of all migraines!!! And missed work on the Wednesday.
Thursday.
Cardiff Christmas shopping and to show Darcy the Winter Wonderland…. She loved it... the ice rink, mesmorised her, as did the massive ferris wheel.and Christmas tree
The GB rally teams were in Cardiff, which though I am not a fan, found interesting, much to Jayne’s dis interest. !!
2 days off from work, and I got to see Darcy in the mornings. As usually I am in work by the time she wakes. She is now in her mid size cot, and has learned that she can run her hand along the bars like a prisoner with a cup!!
She now shouts BA BA BA loudly, and sticks her tongue out as much as possible!! We still await the first tooth, but the smile and laugh are coming along just fine...
Darcy is fazed by nothing, and she amazes me with what she learns and does. I still can’t believe that such a tiny person (a person now) can take over your life.
She is getting a mischievous side, she sleeps in a grow bag, but still tries to roll on her side, she holds her hand through the bars, for you to hold it. She is in to everything. Her favourite pastime is to stare at the Italian “some like it hot” poster we have in the hall way, she stares at it for ages, tonight the Christmas tree goes up. I thing hours of staring to come!!
